This is where regulatory action escalates to: conditions, suspension and cancellations.  Common red flags that trigger attention immediately: • Students enrolled but not consistently engaged in training • High completion rates with little evidence of competencyÂ
• Heavy reliance on agents with limited oversightÂ
• Sudden growth that doesn’t match your systems, staff, or infrastructureÂ
• Rapid ownership, directors or control changes that raise questions
• Links to previously cancelled or sanctioned providers, especially FPP declarationsÂ
• Outstanding debts, unpaid staff, or inability to sustain operations
What ASQA is really asking: “Is this a genuine education provider — or a business model built on something else?
Quick self-check:Â
✔️ Can you clearly demonstrate genuine training and assessment is occurring?Â
✔️ Do your student files show real participation, progression, and outcomes?Â
✔️ When were agents and third parties fully controlled and monitored?Â
✔️ When was financial viability reviewed?Â
✔️ Is your ownership and governance evidence current and reliable? Â
✔️ When were FPP declarations last completed? Â
✔️ Are there FPP /ownership changes?
Compliance tip:
Be Audit ready beyond documentation — focus on genuine implemented practice and intent.
